What is Eclipse?
Eclipse is a streaming service that allows students to watch a wide
variety of films curated by Meteor Theater. Eclipse offers new film releases twice a month to be streamed on all connected devices.

Where can you stream Eclipse?
With Eclipse, you can watch films anytime, and anywhere on campus on all your devices. The Swank streaming software allows you to instantly watch content through any device connected to CometNet or MyResNet. This includes laptops, phones, the Swank Media Player app, and tablets. To stream on TVs, connect your laptop to the TV with an HDMI cable to achieve the best performance.
How do you connect to Eclipse on a mobile device?
- Connect to CometNet or MyResNet wireless networks available to all students, faculty, and staff.
- Have your NetID and password ready.
- Install the Swank Media Player app available in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
- Visit Eclipse.utdallas.edu and choose from the selection of movies curated monthly.
Where can you use Eclipse?
You can stream Eclipse anywhere on campus by connecting to CometNet or MyResNet wireless networks.
Do you have to live on campus?
You do not have to live on campus to access Eclipse but must connect to CometNet or MyResNet wireless networks.
Why can’t I connect at Northside?
Northside is not affiliated with CometNet or MyResNet wireless networks and will not allow users to connect.
